Attorney John Ogden Arnold is an experienced and dedicated attorney who primarily practices in the areas of immigration, family law including divorce, and criminal defense.
Throughout his career, Attorney Arnold has worked in the three intersecting areas of immigration, family law and criminal defense. He has appeared in numerous trials and deportation hearings, including drunk driving, felony sexual assault, divorce and an auto accident trial. He is a longtime member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association. He has assisted numerous clients deal with the difficulties of divorce and child custody disputes, fighting for his clients to pass through the hard times of litigation to find an outcome that allows them a better, more stable family life.
For clients whose cases intersect in these different areas of law, his breadth of knowledge of multiple areas of law has led to beneficial outcomes. His victories have included dismissal of a drug possession charge for a “Dreamer” which allowed that person to stay in the U.S. with DACA, helping a US citizen mother keep custody of her children when an undocumented father threatened to withhold custody, and winning asylum for a freedom fighter from a despotic regime.
From 2016 until May of 2019, he worked in Georgia, where he frequently appeared in the Atlanta Immigration Court. Previously, he worked in Wisconsin for Cabranes Law Offices from 2014 to 2016, where he similarly worked in immigration, criminal, and family law.
Prior to becoming a lawyer, Attorney Arnold lived in Spain for nearly 3 years, working for most of that time as an English language teaching-assistant. John is admitted to practice law in Minnesota, Georgia, Illinois and Wisconsin. He speaks fluent Spanish, and hopes to someday learn more languages. John also enjoys hiking, baking bread, and watching movies.
